year in review

At the end of each year I like to look back and reflect on all the memories that made it special. With mostly ups (and a few downs), I can say 2018 was a remarkable year. Here is my year in review with my favorite moments. From pop-culture, to fashion trends, to life lessons, and the places I visited. Here are the little things that stood out in 2018. Fashion Trend of 2018: White boots, feminist-inspired clothing, and track pants. Worst trend of 2018: Onesie bodysuits, bicycle shorts and high heels, velour tracksuits, and dad sneakers. Trend revamped: Fanny pack—if done right. The item inRead More →

cosmetics and beauty

My mornings begin with a cup of coffee while sitting at my vanity getting ready for the day. My job in fashion requires me to look put together at all times so I make sure that the products I choose are going to last. Often I’ll go straight from work to an event with just enough time to do a quick touch up. These are my can‘t live without cosmetics and beauty products that I buy over and over again. 1. I’ve always loved unicorns, starting with my obsession with Lisa Frank as a child. In the past few years they have made a huge comeback. Designers like Alexander McQueen, Kate Spade, Valentino, and Jeremy Scott have featured unicorns in their collections and in their runway shows. Clothing companies such as, ASOS, Dolls Kill, Topshop, and H&M have drawn off the inspiration and currently feature whimsical merchandise in their store or online boutique. I’ve scoured the Internet to find the best high end, to inexpensive unicorn inspired clothing and accessories that will make you reminisce on your childhood.
