A List of Essentials That Are Perfect for Helping with Relaxation

Relaxing at home is essential after a long day of work or stress. Treating yourself to a spa night is therapeutic and healing for your mental health. Whether it’s finding new activities to do or using new products, relaxation calls for indulgence. I have leaned on some of my personal necessities when giving myself some me time. Taking a daily walk and yoga have grounded me, while items like rosewater and face masks help me practice self-love. Here are my 15 “me time must-haves” that I can’t live without when I’m taking it easy at home. 1. Binge-watching TV After a stressful day, binge-watching helpsRead More →

I went from getting my nails done at the salon every two weeks to doing my manicure at home. I look forward to the “me time” I spend on Sunday afternoons doing my nails while binge-watching a favorite TV show. For inspiration I’ll watch Youtube tutorials on nail design and I follow nail technicians on Instagram. When I have extra time, I’ll apply nail decals, or do little designs. Depending on the time of the year, what I’m doing, or where I’m going, I have specific colors I use that correlate with the occasion. Here are my tried-and-true manicure steps, along with my go-to colorsRead More →

What better way to show the world that you’re a badass female who cares about the rights of others than wearing it on your sleeve. Show people you care about women’s rights, the rights of minorities, the LBGT community, unity, and equality for all. Show society that you will not stand for the government trying to take these basic human rights away, and that you will not be silenced by the people in power or by those that simply don’t understand. #GIRLPOWER  Modern Girl Blitz, $10 Sick Girls Official, $8  Riot Creeps, $8         Wildflower & Company, $9.50    Little Arrow Studio,Read More →

I’ve always loved unicorns, starting with my obsession with Lisa Frank as a child. In the past few years they have made a huge comeback. Designers like Alexander McQueen, Kate Spade, Valentino, and Jeremy Scott have featured unicorns in their collections and in their runway shows. Clothing companies such as, ASOS, Dolls Kill, Topshop, and H&M have drawn off the inspiration and currently feature whimsical merchandise in their store or online boutique. I’ve scoured the Internet to find the best high end, to inexpensive unicorn inspired clothing and accessories that will make you reminisce on your childhood.     Growing up on the east coast and spending every Christmas there, I couldn’t imagine being in a warm climate for the holidays. I need a few perfect 25-degree days with lots of snow. (Then I hurry on back to Los Angeles, and hope the winter here (aka rain) is short.) I do spend the first part of December in LA, and I started celebrating as soon as finished my Thanksgiving dinner. December flies by and before you know it, we’re thinking about all the food we ate, and alcoholic beverages we consumed come January 1st, so lets try to fit in as muchRead More →

Growing up on the east coast, fall has always been one of my favorite seasons. The leaves turning, the nights starting to get cooler, sitting by the fireplace, knowing that Christmas is around the corner… Fall in Los Angeles, is quite different. As I type, it’s currently 76 degrees outside. I still try to take what I love about fall and make new traditions. Here’s a mix of things I adopted back in Massachusetts (like, cold nights binging on Netflix and football games), along with new things (farmers markets, Urth Caffe pumpkin pie, and new recipes). 1. Bronzer. Just because the sun goes down atRead More →
