My Guide to LA - The Santa Monica Pier

Since moving to Los Angeles almost 8 years ago, I’ve lived on the West Side (Pacific Palisades, Santa Monica, and Malibu,) Central L.A. (K-Town), and now I live in Downtown Los Angeles. Living in all these vastly different neighborhoods has allowed me the opportunity to explore their hidden gems. I thought long and hard about what my favorite spots are, and to be honest, they change quite frequently. But that’s the fascinating thing about this city. There’s constantly a new bar popping up or a new store to explore and they’ll quickly become a favorite until a new place is discovered. I created a listRead More →

christmas in nyc

This past December it was my third time spending the days leading up to Christmas in NYC. On December 18th Billy and I flew from Los Angeles to Windsor Locks, CT (about 15 minutes from my childhood home in Massachusetts) and then on to my parents house. All of my Christmas gifts were shipped there, so I devoted the next day wrapping and packing for New York. The following evening my dad drove us to Union Station in New Haven, CT where we hopped on a 2 hour train ride to Grand Central Terminal. We spent 5 unforgettable days and 4 nights in the cityRead More →

My hectic work schedule does not leave a lot of room for vacations so I promised myself earlier this year that I would dedicate more time to traveling. Since I couldn’t take an extensive trip, I had to come up with a destination that I could go to for the weekend, but still manage to make a mini vacation out of it? I have a couple of close friends who live in Vancouver that I went to college with so I thought, why not pay them a visit? The best part is that I would be leaving the country all while being only a 3Read More →

Trip to Puerto Vallarta

I recently wrote an article about how to plan a spur-of-the-moment trip, which was based on preparing for my trip to Puerto Vallarta. I spent 9 days in Mexico, so you as you can imagine, I did and saw a lot of amazing things. I had so many trip-of-a-lifetime experiences, from dining on a deserted island, to exploring a brightly colored beach town, to tasting amazing cuisine–every second of this trip was a memorable one. I wondered how I would be able to include everything in one blog post so I decided to write about my trip highlights along with some history of this amazingRead More →

summer beach essentials

Whether I’m headed to a local beach here in Los Angeles County, or preparing for an exotic vacation somewhere far away, my summer beach essentials help me to have the perfect day. I recently vacationed in Puerto Vallarta, and before I left I started to think about what I would need. Being a lover of street style, this cover up was the first item on my list. The mesh material helped to keep me cool in the hot and humid 90+ degree days. I love wearing white in the summer as it shows off my tan. I then worked the rest of my outfit aroundRead More →

trip to mexico

A few weeks ago my parents invited me to go with them on a trip to Mexico. We would be staying in Puerto Vallarta for 9 days at an all inclusive resort. As you can imagine there was no hesitation on my part to say YES! We would be leaving two weeks later, so I had a short time to plan accordingly. With most vacations you have plenty of time to plan and research and other times an opportunity arises and you need to get the ball rolling fast. As Soon As You Say Yes Passport Ready I believe everyone should have a passport. YouRead More →

my trip abroad

For my birthday this year, I decided to take a trip to Europe on a much-needed vacation, to learn new things about other places, and some new things about myself. With plenty of coats packed, a new book for my flight, and two of my closest friends by my side, I was ready to begin another year of my life on a trip filled with new experiences. For my trip abroad I would be traveling to London, Paris and Copenhagen. Three beautiful, vibrant cities that are very cold this time of year. Aside from the chill, each city had its own appeal that kept meRead More →

Most Exciting Places to Travel

The term “work hard, play hard” is a way of life here in Los Angeles. It’s no wonder we can’t wait to break into our vacation time and have a much-needed change of scenery. Traveling is one of the greatest gifts you can give to yourself. Whether traveling alone or with others, it is wonderful to experience new cultures and learn new things about yourself along the way. Traveling pushes us to step outside of our comfort zone and explore unfamiliar worlds that we may only experience once in our lifetime. Deciding where to go can be difficult since you want your trip to beRead More →

spending a day in long beach

No matter where you live in Los Angeles, everyone can use a little adventure in their life. I’m going to show you how spending a day in Long Beach is the optimum staycation. One of the beauties about living in LA is being able to explore so many different parts of the city and all it has to offer. Long Beach is a city right outside of LA, still within the Los Angeles County lines. I’m lucky enough to call this sweet beach town my home, and every day I find something more that I love about it. Whether it’s enjoying a coffee at oneRead More →
