The term “work hard, play hard” is a way of life here in Los Angeles. It’s no wonder we can’t wait to break into our vacation time and have a much-needed change of scenery. Traveling is one of the greatest gifts you can give to yourself. Whether traveling alone or with others, it is wonderful to experience new cultures and learn new things about yourself along the way. Traveling pushes us to step outside of our comfort zone and explore unfamiliar worlds that we may only experience once in our lifetime. Deciding where to go can be difficult since you want your trip to be as amazing as possible. We put together a list of some of the most exciting places to travel to help make planning your vacation a bit easier. Florence, Italy

There is nothing better than diving into a full plate of delicious spaghetti with a glass of your favorite wine, right? One can only dream of how magical it must be to enjoy that in none other than Italy. The famous Italian city Florence, is filled with delicious food, wine, and beautiful art. Florence is the perfect gem to make you feel like you’re inside a dream. Some of the must see places to visit are the Piazzale Michelangelo which displays bronze copies of some of Michelangelo’s most famous statues like the David. Climbing the Duomo and visiting Giotto’s Bell Tower are other well known attractions. From the very top of the tower you can view the whole city, a site that will never be forgotten. Rent a bike, eat a ton of gelato, and enjoy a picnic along the famous Arno River; the options of this Italian treasure are endless!
Cusco, Peru

Cusco is a city in the Peruvian Andes known for its vibrant culture and astonishing archaeological remains of the Inca Empire. The city is 3,400m (11,155 feet) above sea level so it’s recommended by locals to take a day for relaxing and adjusting to the thin air. Cusco is famously known for the Machu Picchu, an Inca Citadel built in the 15th Century high in the Andes Mountains. There are hiking trails you can take to see the incredible historic landmark, or you could request a tour guide to inform you on all the remarkable history this landmark holds. Along with the mind-blowing sights, there are festivals almost every month, making for unending excitement in this city. Some famous restaurants to try are Pachapapa, known for specializing in traditional Andean cuisine, and Limo, notorious for their pisco bar and tiradito (Peru’s version of sashimi). Cusco is filled with pleasure, so brush up on your spanish and pack your hiking boots!
Tokyo, Japan

Tokyo is the energetic capital of Japan and one of the worlds most visited places. With a futuristic vibe and yet still holding a traditional sense, Tokyo is a city with something to do every minute. The city has tourists coming all year long, so be prepared for a busy scene that makes Tokyo what it is. Universally known for their cafe’s, there’s a unique cafe for anything you can dream of. The Harajuku district is known for the culture and fashion, as well as their delicious crepes. For more than 400 years Tokyo residents have used the Sumida River for transport. A big tourist attraction is taking a boat tour along the river to see Tokyo from all different angles in futuristic shaped boats. When the sun goes down, Tokyo has astounding night scenery with all the city lights coming together. Get your camera ready and be sure to take advantage of the amazing views this metropolis has to offer!

Looking over your bucket list, Paris should be somewhere near the top. Paris is the capital of France and filled with art, fashion, and culture. There is a range of things to do from touring museums to seeing the city from the top of the Eiffel Tower. Paris is known for its incredible fashion. Once you go down some of their busiest fashion streets you can be sure your hands will be full with shopping bags. You can even take a tour to see inside the life of the famous CoCo Chanel. Being the home of the Arc de Triomphe and Notre-Dame de Paris there isn’t a second your eyes won’t be in complete awe of Paris’ beauty. Take in the Parisian charm by walking through Montmartre and be sure to indulge in the many delicious pastries and macaroons this stunning city has to offer. Don’t be like Lauren on The Hills, go to Paris!
Santorini, Greece

Santorini is one of the world’s most beautiful places. The striking colorful homes built on cliffs and beaches are made up of black, red and white lava pebbles and are a classically enchanting Greek sight. For a stunning view and a look into Greece’s history, be sure to visit the Ancient Thera. Spend the day at the Wine Museum Koutsoyannopoulos for some of the world’s best wine and another beautiful view. Dip your toes in Greece’s crystal clear water along the Amoudi Bay and Perissa Beach. Santorini is known to be a perfect location for a relaxing and rejuvenating vacation. Along with it’s delicious Greek food, Santorini is a city certainly worth your vacation time!
