February, the shortest month can easily feel like the longest. That time of the year when we long for summer and 80 degree temps and pray the rain would dissipate. Having a schedule of fun events, movies, and things to do will make the month breeze by, and before you know it you’ll be sitting poolside, sipping mimosas.
BUY: Cooper Design Space, Last Friday’s Sample Sale, 860 S. Los Angeles Street, Los Angeles, 90014 – February 24th, 9am-3pm
I used to work in the Cooper Building in DTLA and I’d look forward to the sample sales. The showrooms that are only open to buyers and fashion stylists are open to the public on the last Friday of the month and some of the items are up to 80% off. A lot of the showrooms are cash only, so bring plenty.

WATCH: Big Little Lies – February 19th, 9pm on HBO
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nS0UsecjHx8
I have been waiting for Big Little Lies since I first saw the trailer a few months ago. Led by an all-star cast (Reese Witherspoon, Nicole Kidman, Alexander Skarsgård, Laura Dern, Zoe Kravitz, and Shailene Woodley), Big Little Lies is based on the NY Times bestselling novel by Liane Moriarty. Set in Monterey, California the show focuses on three wealthy mothers (Kidman, Witherspoon, and Woodley) who’s children attend the same school. Described as ‘dark’ and ‘funny’, in a town where people aren’t like what they seem. In between board meetings, wine-tastings, raising children, and yoga, there’s time for domestic abuse and murder. I’m hoping this will give me my fill of drama since season 3 of The Affair just ended.
