The other day I was walking aimlessly around Downtown Los Angeles and I saw a colorful portrait of Andy Warhol in a window and I could hear him say to me, “Come inside.”  Being a huge fan of The Factory and Warhol’s work I had to check it out. I walked into the pop-up gallery “Kings & Queens” to stare in amazement at the mixed media artwork that stood before my eyes. Hello February

Having a schedule of fun events, movies, and things to do will make the month breeze by, and before you know it you’ll be sitting poolside, sipping mimosas. A little while ago my friends and I reserved tickets to The Broad museum in DTLA. Artists featured there include Jean-Michel Basquiat, Andy Warhol, Ed Ruscha, Kara Walker, Christopher Wool, Jeff Koons, Cy Twombly, Joseph Beuys, Barbara Kruger,  Cindy Sherman, Robert Rauschenberg, Jasper Johns, plus many more. We weren’t able to get into the infinity mirrored room. Hopefully next time. Here are some of my favorites… On the second floor they have a gift shop that sells coffee table books, games, ornaments, jewelry, tea cups, pictures, and other cool things. We then walked across the street to the Moca museum and had lunch at Lemonade. The have THE BEST truffle mac & cheese! Xx.KristieRead More →
