My Simple Approach to Creating an Impressive Jewelry Display

When it comes to displaying my jewelry, I love having everything out in the open. This makes choosing what to accessorize with easier and it helps me to appreciate more of what I have. This past weekend I did a quick inventory of my necklaces, bracelets, and rings. I separated them into three categories: things I wear regularly, items I rarely wear, and tarnished or broken pieces. For the weathered items, I invested time in trying to clean or fix them and if it didn’t work I ended up taking the jewelry apart and saving the charms, or tossing the pieces all together. Whether you were a baby or a teen—the 90s were the best decade. Maybe I’m a little biased since I grew up at a time that was much simpler. Summer days were spent outside roller skating and bike riding and not inside on the computer. Recently I wrote about my vacations at the CT shore which got me thinking about this time period and how much I miss it. I did some looking around and found aRead More →

NYC Street Style

When I was packing for my trip to New York City I planned out all of my outfits ahead of time rather than just throwing pieces into my suitcase. Since there would be a lot of walking involved I needed something comfortable to explore the city in. I purchased these studded Ash biker boots back in 2011 and they were my go-to shoe during the winter. It had been a couple years since I last wore them so I was excited to put them on again. Going for an edgy NYC street style look I paired them with faux leather leggings, a deconstructed denim jacketRead More →

I have a love-hate relationship with moving. It’s something I’ve done many times and while I love moving into a new space, the process of boxing up everything I own isn’t something I particularly enjoy. I wish I could fast-forward that part and go straight to decorating. Me and my boyfriend’s lease was about to be up and we were outgrowing our current apartment, but instead of searching for a new building, we opted to stay in the same and go from the 7th floor to the 15th with panoramic view of DTLA. I’m obsessed! Last weekend we packed up all our things and asked our friendRead More →
