30 Activities I Plan on Checking Off My Summer Bucket List

A few years ago when I was living in Los Angeles, I made a summer bucket list which was filled with 25 things I wanted to do before the season ended. It had activities that could only be done in L.A., that were mixed with typical fun stuff like having a bonfire on the beach and making s’mores. As that September approached I checked off mostly everything on my list, which made for a remarkable three months. This year will be my first full summer on the East Coast in almost 10 years. (In 2020, I spent the end of August here, but so muchRead More →

Bell Bottoms and Snakeskin (Plus a Fun Way to Spend a Sunday Afternoon in L.A.)

The bohemian era of the 1960s is one of my favorite decades and for the longest time I’ve wanted a pair of perfectly fitting dark wash bell bottoms. This past April I got invited to an Alice and Olivia cocktail party and I splurged on a pair to wear to the get-together. Connecticut Shoreline

For the first 20 years of my life, my family and I had a tradition that I looked forward to every year. Each summer we would pack up the car and head down to the Connecticut shoreline. We stayed at a cottage on the ocean for an entertaining and unforgettable vacation. Eventually the cottage was sold and we switched to a beach resort, and then I moved to Los Angeles. Since then, I’ve only been back to my favorite spot once. This summer however, my mom found a beach house on the same street that I grew up vacationing on and I couldn’t be moreRead More →

omg dessert goals

After my July 4th get-together where I overindulged on cupcakes and cookies, I had vowed to give up sweets for a little while…that was until I saw OMG Dessert Goals was coming to Los Angeles! I immediately purchased a ticket to the event held in DTLA and anticipated the sugar rush that was yet to come.. Omg Dessert Goals is a weekend long festival that started in New York City and has expanded to Los Angeles. Here you can sample the delicious treats by California bakeries and vendors. Before you bite into your snack, there are plenty of photo setups so you can get thatRead More →

Growing up on the east coast, fall has always been one of my favorite seasons. The leaves turning, the nights starting to get cooler, sitting by the fireplace, knowing that Christmas is around the corner… Fall in Los Angeles, is quite different. As I type, it’s currently 76 degrees outside. I still try to take what I love about fall and make new traditions. Here’s a mix of things I adopted back in Massachusetts (like, cold nights binging on Netflix and football games), along with new things (farmers markets, Urth Caffe pumpkin pie, and new recipes). 1. Bronzer. Just because the sun goes down atRead More →
