A Girl in LA welcomes its newest blogger Cynthia. Born and raised in the City of Angels, the sunsets, palm trees and the wonderful cultures have influenced Cynthia in more ways than one. Through her journey of starting her website Señorita Cyn in 2013, she’s learned that dreaming is the best motivation to make anything happen. Becoming a contributor for A Girl in LA was a no brainer for her, and she’s excited to take this opportunity with you guys to bring you the latest in fashion, music, trends, and everything in between. Stay tuned! My staple clothing item is…a pair of jeans. I would never leaveRead More →

Striped one-piece swimsuit at the beach

I would never leave home without… my cellphone. I stay fit by… eating healthy, running, and strength training. In my spare time I… like to explore new places (hello, NYC!), shop, cook, listen to live music, spend time with my boyfriend and friends, and visit my parents’ beach house at the Connecticut shore. The first thing I do in the morning is… drink a Clean energy drink and check my emails. My style inspirations are… Zoe Kravitz, Ashlee Simpson, Serena Vanderwoodsen, Vanessa Hudgens, and Kate Moss. My favorite labels, designers, and shops are… Revolve, Rag & Bone, Gucci, UO, Superdown, One Teaspoon, Lovers + Friends,Read More →

One of my favorite things about spring aside from the longer days and warmer weather is putting my dark, big and bulky winterish clothing—(I live in LA), in the back of my closet, and putting my light and colorful wardrobe front and center. This is also a perfect time to decide what you no longer want (that’s a whole other topic), but more importantly what you need. Inspired by NYFW Spring 2017, vibrant stripes, trench coats, slogans and graphics, shoulder details, sportswear, seaside stripes and nautical inspired, nudes and tans, floral prints, iridescence, and bright and pastel solid colors are what you’ll be seeing a lotRead More →

I have a love-hate relationship with moving. It’s something I’ve done many times and while I love moving into a new space, the process of boxing up everything I own isn’t something I particularly enjoy. I wish I could fast-forward that part and go straight to decorating. Me and my boyfriend’s lease was about to be up and we were outgrowing our current apartment, but instead of searching for a new building, we opted to stay in the same and go from the 7th floor to the 15th with panoramic view of DTLA. I’m obsessed! Last weekend we packed up all our things and asked our friendRead More →

Hello February

February, the shortest month can easily feel like the longest. That time of the year when we long for summer and 80 degree temps and pray the rain would dissipate. Having a schedule of fun events, movies, and things to do will make the month breeze by, and before you know it you’ll be sitting poolside, sipping mimosas.
