The bohemian era of the 1960s is one of my favorite decades and for the longest time I’ve wanted a pair of perfectly fitting dark wash bell bottoms. For the first 20 years of my life, my family and I had a tradition that I looked forward to every year. Each summer we would pack up the car and head down to the Connecticut shoreline. In honor of National Ice Cream Day I thought I’d put a twist on the basic s’mores we all enjoyed as children. The other day when I came across SmashMellow’s Cinnamon Churro Marshmallows, I knew I had to replace the traditional marshmallows that I had been using. I must say that the finished product was not only delicious but it was also a more fancy approach to your basic s’mores.
