manicure

I went from getting my nails done at the salon every two weeks to doing my manicure at home. I look forward to the “me time” I spend on Sunday afternoons doing my nails while binge-watching a favorite TV show. For inspiration I’ll watch Youtube tutorials on nail design and I follow nail technicians on Instagram. When I have extra time, I’ll apply nail decals, or do little designs. Depending on the time of the year, what I’m doing, or where I’m going, I have specific colors I use that correlate with the occasion. Here are my tried-and-true manicure steps, along with my go-to colorsRead More →

Haunted Hotel

This past weekend when my boyfriend and I were planning our date night, I suggested that we explore a haunted hotel in downtown Los Angeles. Usually when we go out on a Friday night, we meet up with friends for drinks, or we’ll head to a trendy eatery. Being so close to Halloween, I wanted to do something festive but also avoid the typical tourist attractions. We’ve been binge-watching The Haunting of Hill House (a must see), and that definitely inspired my idea. We also stopped by my favorite bookstore located inside an old bank vault. I’m not sure how I feel about “ghosts,” andRead More →

Rock n air plants

A few years ago I got into the crystal craze and started collecting beautiful minerals that are now displayed throughout my apartment. When I saw these cute air plants by Rock n Air I had to add them to my growing collection. Rock n Air plants are handmade in Los Angeles by its founder Kim Leake. You can order these babies on her Etsy shop where she sells an assortment of plants and crystals in different shapes and sizes. They’re all one-of-a-kind and very unique. Each plant includes free shipping and comes packaged in a white gift box, tied with a black grosgrain ribbon. YouRead More →

pumpkin spice

Autumn is my favorite season and to celebrate I indulge in everything pumpkin spice. l buy the seasonal fall products I’ve come to love, while trying out some new just released ones. Here are my picks (new and old), varying from food to beauty. Pumpkin Spice Everything! 1. Pumpkin Spice Ground Coffee | Starbucks: Once October rolls around, I refuse to drink coffee that isn’t pumpkin spice. I always brew my own at home with this Starbucks blend. I’m not a fan of PSLs because of the sugar so I stick to this flavored coffee because it has just the right kick of pumpkin spice.Read More →

Easy DIY Fall Decorations

One of the many elements I cherish about the autumn season is creating easy DIY fall decorations. I’ll start by scanning the Internet for inspiration. Then I’ll head to the craft store to pick up supplies and invite my girlfriends over for a “DIY party.” I’ll have potpourri simmering on the stove and serve apple cider and donuts. It’s an entertaining girls night in and allows us a chance to catch up while creating one-of-a-kind fall crafts. This year I’ve come up with a list of 25 projects that have inspired me. cosmetics and beauty

My mornings begin with a cup of coffee while sitting at my vanity getting ready for the day. My job in fashion requires me to look put together at all times so I make sure that the products I choose are going to last. Often I’ll go straight from work to an event with just enough time to do a quick touch up. These are my can‘t live without cosmetics and beauty products that I buy over and over again. 1. Tattoo Liner | Kat Von D: This is the only eyeliner I can precisely create a wing with. It also stays on throughout the dayRead More →

Secret Rosé Garden

I recently visited The Secret Rosé Garden, a pop-up cafe at the Beverly Wilshire Hotel. I‘m obsessed with rosé and roses so as you can imagine I was ecstatic when I came across this limited-time event on Instagram and I knew I had to visit right away! This elegant installation was created to celebrate the hotels 90th anniversary, and by celebrate I mean they’ve recreated the famous Garden Lounge for our generation to enjoy. If you didn’t know, the Garden Lounge was a fixture of the hotel during the 1960s and 1970s. The Secret Rosé Garden is situated on the rooftop and features stunning viewsRead More →

Favorite TV Shows of All-Time

Even though we live in Los Angeles where the weather is nice most of the year, during the fall we sometimes just want to stay in, prepare a cup of hot cocoa and do some binge watching. We each chose our five favorite TV shows of all-time and weirdly enough, none of us picked the same one. So when you’re searching for something to watch this season, you have 15 options to choose from! I didn’t watch Oz while it was on TV; years later I caught up with it on HBO GO. I’m a huge fan of The Wire, so when I found outRead More →
