One of my favorite things about spring aside from the longer days and warmer weather is putting my dark, big and bulky winterish clothing—(I live in LA), in the back of my closet, and putting my light and colorful wardrobe front and center. This is also a perfect time to decide what you no longer want (that’s a whole other topic), but more importantly what you need. Inspired by NYFW Spring 2017, vibrant stripes, trench coats, slogans and graphics, shoulder details, sportswear, seaside stripes and nautical inspired, nudes and tans, floral prints, iridescence, and bright and pastel solid colors are what you’ll be seeing a lotRead More →

Hello February

February, the shortest month can easily feel like the longest. That time of the year when we long for summer and 80 degree temps and pray the rain would dissipate. Having a schedule of fun events, movies, and things to do will make the month breeze by, and before you know it you’ll be sitting poolside, sipping mimosas. I’ve always loved unicorns, starting with my obsession with Lisa Frank as a child. In the past few years they have made a huge comeback. Designers like Alexander McQueen, Kate Spade, Valentino, and Jeremy Scott have featured unicorns in their collections and in their runway shows. Clothing companies such as, ASOS, Dolls Kill, Topshop, and H&M have drawn off the inspiration and currently feature whimsical merchandise in their store or online boutique. I’ve scoured the Internet to find the best high end, to inexpensive unicorn inspired clothing and accessories that will make you reminisce on your childhood. Rebecca Minkoff – Hudson Moto Mini, $135. Christian Louboutin – Loubichrome I Nail Polish, Christian Louboutin, $30. Tokidoki – Unicorno Series 5Read More →

January…the month when you’re torn between hibernating and keeping your New Year’s Resolutions (gym goals, volunteer, learn something new, take up yoga, wake up earlier, etc.) When half of the United States has temperatures 30 degrees and below, here are some things to get you through, and help you stay on track to make 2017 your best year yet. Bella Freud Parfum Candle, $70. In the cold months of January a lot of New Yorkers long for a vacation to somewhere sunny, I on the other hand love New York in the blistering cold (maybe because I don’t actually live there). This candle makes me feelRead More →

Growing up on the east coast and spending every Christmas there, I couldn’t imagine being in a warm climate for the holidays. I need a few perfect 25-degree days with lots of snow. (Then I hurry on back to Los Angeles, and hope the winter here (aka rain) is short.) I do spend the first part of December in LA, and I started celebrating as soon as finished my Thanksgiving dinner. December flies by and before you know it, we’re thinking about all the food we ate, and alcoholic beverages we consumed come January 1st, so lets try to fit in as muchRead More →

Growing up on the east coast, fall has always been one of my favorite seasons. The leaves turning, the nights starting to get cooler, sitting by the fireplace, knowing that Christmas is around the corner… Fall in Los Angeles, is quite different. As I type, it’s currently 76 degrees outside. I still try to take what I love about fall and make new traditions. Here’s a mix of things I adopted back in Massachusetts (like, cold nights binging on Netflix and football games), along with new things (farmers markets, Urth Caffe pumpkin pie, and new recipes). 1. Bronzer. Just because the sun goes down atRead More →
