What’s Inside My Travel Makeup Case + Packing Tips

After taking enough trips from my apartment in NYC to my family’s beach house in Connecticut, I’m finally satisfied with the way I pack my travel makeup case. For years, no matter where I was vacationing, I’d end up bringing way too many products. There were multiple nail polishes (just in case I felt like doing a manicure, of course I never did), a ton of eyeshadows in every color you can think of, and many other products. I finally realized that I would never use most of these, so I simplified my packing and stuck to the basics. Below is a list of theRead More →

My Go-To Instagram Travel Accounts For Planning A Trip + Stunning Photography

Traveling is one of my favorite things to do. It doesn’t matter if it’s a quick day trip to an unknown city or a 14 hour flight to an exotic country; I love doing both. I’ve been fortunate enough to visit Italy, Ireland, and Mexico, but I have more places on my bucket list that I can’t wait to see. With the pandemic under control and having spent the previous year locked indoors, I’ve been thinking a lot about where I want to vacation next. How to Plan The Ideal Road Trip This Summer

Taking a road trip is more than just a drive, it’s an entire experience that’s filled with memories and exploring hidden areas on the way to your destination. You can blast your favorite music, take in the beautiful scenery, and stop at numerous roadside attractions. To me, the drive itself is just as much fun as vacationing at my destination. This summer, my boyfriend and I will drive to Joshua Tree. Although our trip is short when compared to some of the other adventures I’ve embarked on, I’m still using the same tools to plan for this voyage. Whether I’m driving a few hours awayRead More →

Souvenir Shopping: The Items I Bring Back From Each Vacation

Over the years I’ve accumulated a lot of items from traveling. As soon as I stepped off the plane, my mind would go into “souvenir shopping mode,” even if that meant buying pointless items that later ended up in the trash. I began revising my strategy and considered what I wanted to purchase (for myself, and for my friends and family) beforehand so I had an idea of what to look for. Then I narrowed it down to specific categories and came up with a list of things that people actually like to receive. Now, when I’m souvenir shopping, I’m not blowing my money onRead More →

The Las Vegas Strip at night

Recently I spent five days and four nights vacationing on the Las Vegas Strip. It was my first time visiting Sin City which I know in this day and age, is practically unheard of. I left on a Saturday afternoon and met up with my parents who drove in from Arizona and arrived a few hours after me. The trip was fast moving since there was so much to do and see in such a short amount of time (two days consisted mainly of travel.) There were a ton of trip highlights (I outlined some on Instagram stories) but here are my favorites. PS: AfterRead More →

Packing Tips: How To Pack Your Jewelry

I’m often amazed when I hear about women packing lightly, or even watching Billy throw a few essentials into his suitcase the day of travel. I’m not someone who’s ever been able to go on a trip with just a few necessities. This week I’ll be leaving for a three-week trip to the East Coast for a family reunion/beach vacation. About a week before I start to plan what I’m going to bring with me. Packing for a vacation can be very overwhelming. Over the years I’ve accumulated a lot of travel miles which has taught me how to simplify my process. Yes, I still “overpack,”Read More →

East Coast Trip

At the start of the summer, I visited Arizona and now I’m getting ready to head to my childhood home in New England. I’ll be staying in Massachusetts and then vacationing at the beach in Connecticut. (You can read about my summers at the CT shore here.) Aside from spending time with Billy and my family, I’m looking forward to visiting the places I frequented while I was growing up. There are so many, but here are a few that are on my itinerary: a boat ride to Block Island, shopping in Olde Mistick Village, having Sunday brunch at Water’s Edge Beach Resort and SpaRead More →

Connecticut Shoreline

For the first 20 years of my life, my family and I had a tradition that I looked forward to every year. Each summer we would pack up the car and head down to the Connecticut shoreline. We stayed at a cottage on the ocean for an entertaining and unforgettable vacation. Eventually the cottage was sold and we switched to a beach resort, and then I moved to Los Angeles. Since then, I’ve only been back to my favorite spot once. This summer however, my mom found a beach house on the same street that I grew up vacationing on and I couldn’t be moreRead More →

Travel Shoes - What To Pack For Your Next Trip

Packing for a summer vacation can be challenging—especially when it comes to shoes. I used to be the type of girl that would pack a suitcase full of them, only to wear a few pairs while I was on vacation. Over the years I’ve learned a simple trick…I plan each outfit in advance before I start packing. Then I take a photo of the outfit along with any accessories, jewelry pieces, and of course, shoes. The ones that go with the most amount of outfits are the ones I’ll bring with me. My style changes depending on where I’m traveling to. If I’m headed toRead More →
