What I Loved in October, 2020: Autumn Foliage

A collection of things I loved in October, from beauty products and fashion to entertainment and everything in between. I decided to move back to the East Coast for many reasons, but one of the biggest was that I missed the four seasons. The last time I got to experience autumn and the leaves changing colors was in 2010 before I moved to Los Angeles. Because I grew up around it, and witnessed it every year, it was never a big deal to me. It wasn’t until a few years ago that I actually started to miss it. The other day Billy and I wereRead More →

What I'll Miss Most About Living in Los Angeles

In my last post, I announced that I’ll be leaving Los Angeles and moving to New York City. I talked about how Billy and I came to that decision and shared some of my favorite memories (and what I’ll miss most) about L.A. Attempting to condense over nine years of living in this beautiful city into one article is impossible and I hate knowing that I’m leaving out so much. As I scrolled through my photos, I created a folder and then narrowed down my favorite pictures so I can share them with you guys. Whenever possible, I’ve linked the event or place so youRead More →

Why I’m Leaving Los Angeles After Almost 10 Years

After living in Los Angeles for almost 10 years, Billy and I said goodbye to the city we instantly fell in love with. This past July, as we flew back to New England to spend the summer with my family, we knew there was a chance we wouldn’t be returning to L.A. (at least not for a while). The decision to leave wasn’t one that either of us took lightly. We went back and forth, discussing the pros and cons of leaving Los Angeles and moving to New York City. How we came to our decision to move to New York City It all beganRead More →

What I Loved in September, 2020: NYC sunsets

A collection of things I loved in September, from beauty products and fashion to entertainment and everything in between. Sure, the streets of New York City look a lot different than they did pre-Covid, but spending a few days here (in couldn’t-ask-for-better- weather) has been a completely different experience. Billy and I have been able to get around the city a lot easier since it’s less crowded than what we’re used to.  Whenever I’m vacationing in the city I make a point of stopping in my favorite candy store, Sugarfina. (I love their colorful confections so much, I created a V-Day charcuterie board a fewRead More →

What I Loved in August, 2020

A collection of things I loved in August, from beauty products and fashion to entertainment and everything in between. I kept seeing these gorgeous candles all over Instagram and knew that one would look perfect in my bedroom. I headed to Otherland’s website and fell in love with their Beach Club collection: Matchpoint (cut grass, tennis balls + cucumber), Freshwater Pearl (sea crystal, salt water + crushed shells) and Stone Fruit (beach plum, brown sugar + peach skin). The hardest part was deciding on a scent, but I ended up choosing Freshwater Pearl since it fit best with being at the beach. The 8oz candleRead More →

A Look Inside My Beach Tote

In the middle of July I flew from Los Angeles to the East Coast because my parents were buying a beach house at the Connecticut shoreline. Due to Covid-19, their closing date kept getting pushed back making the wait seem like forever. Fast forward a month later and we’ve finally moved in. In between shopping for my bedroom and planning my dad’s birthday party, I’ve been stocking up on necessities that I’ll be using while I spend the rest of the summer at the beach. Here are 15 items that I’m keeping inside my beach tote.  Picnic Tote bag | Ban.do, $34.95 From the brightRead More →

What I Loved in July 2020

A collection of things I loved in July, from beauty products and fashion to entertainment and everything in between. A couple of months ago I tried these plant-based Dream Pops and instantly became hooked. They come in flavors like vanilla matcha (my favorite), chocolate, berry, coconut latte, and mango rosemary. Not only are they refreshing on a scorching summer day, but each pop is only 100 calories and they’re vegan, gluten-free, and soy-free. Last summer I fell in love with Eyeko Beach vegan waterproof mascara for a few reasons. First, it keeps my lashes curled. Second, it doesn’t weigh them down and third, it doesn’tRead More →

Everything I’m Eyeing For My Summer at The Shore

Last year my family and I restarted the tradition of spending time at the Connecticut shore. This was a place that I grew up going to each summer along with generations of family members before me (you can read about my childhood memories and why it’s so special here). Prior to last year, since I moved to Los Angeles, I had only been back there once in 2013. After our last trip we realized how much we missed the beach, so my parents recently purchased a beach house on the water. This summer, I’ll be heading to Westbrook and spending the rest of the seasonRead More →
