Before I started to write this article, I began to think about all the different elements we use in our everyday lives. How our age, job, location, and taste can have a huge impact on our daily necessities. I came up with a list of 15 things I can’t live without. Not a day goes by when I don’t somehow use or need all of these; from my MacBook Pro, to the lipgloss I trust to keep my lips moisturized, and everything in between. Some of the items on my list, like fresh flowers or my favorite candle are more frivolous, but they are things that help me get through my day on a positive note and add just that special touch.
1. Moisturizer | La Mer, $170
I’ve been using La Mer products for the last 5 years and I’ve seen such a difference in the texture of my skin. My favorite product is the moisturizing soft cream. It’s a bit pricey but a little goes a long way.
2. Fresh Flowers | Paradise Florist, $59.99
Whether I’m picking up a small arrangement at Whole Foods, or shopping in the flower district for a large bouquet, fresh flowers add the perfect finishing touch to my apartment.
3. Comfy Shoes | Vans, $50-$65
Before I moved to LA I was all about heels. I still love them, but now I prefer flats like flip flops, Vans and Converse for everyday living. I save my heels for when I get dressed up.
4. Earrings | Henri Bendel, $58
I don’t feel complete without a pair of earrings on. These “Plaza Pave Stud Earrings” are my go-to accessory. They go with everything and they’re the perfect size.
5. Candy | Vegan Gummy Bears (4pc), $20
My weakness in life is candy! I love how these gummies are organic, vegan, and have no artificial preservatives. One bag is never enough.
Being a blogger I’m always on my computer or phone. Whether I’m writing or updating my Instagram feed, not a day goes by where I don’t use both of these.
7. Something to Keep Me Warm | C by Bloomingdale's, $99
Whether I’m inside with the AC blasting, or taking a walk around DTLA in the chilly months, having a wrap or sweater with me that I can throw in my bag is a must needed necessity.
8. Eye Mask | Diane Von Furstenberg, $41.40
I can’t get a good night's sleep without an eye mask on. It blocks out the sun that comes in my bedroom window and wakes me up at sunrise.
9. Sugar Lip Balm | Fresh, $30
Lip balm addiction is a real thing! I’m addicted to applying it throughout the day, but I find that this sugar lip balm keeps my lips hydrated longer. I don't need to apply it every 20 minutes and it tastes amazing.
10. Prosecco Rose Candle | Voluspa, $30
Out of all of the candles I’ve ever owned this is by far my favorite. It not only is the best smelling scent in my opinion, but the glass is beautiful and eye-catching and the scent is very vivid.
11. SPF 30 Skin Tint | Nars, $45
If I could only choose one makeup product this would be it. I love how I can control the amount of coverage it gives me by mixing it with my moisturizer. If I’m going for a laid back day look I’ll mix 75% moisturizer with 25% skin tint, or if I’m getting dolled up for a night out I’ll mix 75% skin tint with 25% moisturizer.
12. Caffeine | Red Bull
I’m not really a coffee drinker, but I still need to get my caffeine fix. It’s probably not the healthiest way of living but as soon as I wake up, the first thing I do is drink a Red Bull to start the day.
13. Sunglasses | Chloe, $280
I’m a lover of all things Chloe, and my Chloe shades go everywhere with me!
14. Boyfriend, Friends, and Family
I couldn’t live without the people that mean the most to me.
15. Packable Tote Bag | Henri Bendel, $48
I live in an area where I do a lot of walking. Whether I’m grocery shopping, running errands, or doing some sightseeing--I make sure to never leave home without my Bendel’s packable tote.
