NYFW 2018: What Will Be Trending Next Season

NYFW 2018: What Will Be Trending Next Season

After closely monitoring NYFW 2018 runway shows, the top trends for fall/winter 2018 have been narrowed down; lilac, crazy animal prints, puffy furs, plaids, muted florals, miniature bags, fanny packs, sparkly socks, heeled mules, and slouchy boots.

Trends this season are similar to previous years, but with a new approach focusing on interesting silhouettes and styling. Clothing will be very print focused with loose fitting styles. Instead of the accessories creating the finishing touches, the focal point will be on the garment themselves. Accessories this year will be very minimal.

The 2018 Pantone color of the year, Ultra Violet will also be a large influence in this year’s fashion.

Lavish Lilac

Lilac will be the hit color for this upcoming fall/winter season. The cool hue will make a lovely core color on any piece. Pair lilac with another cool hue to create a relaxed look or pair with a darker hue to create an edgy feel. It is after all, the year of the color purple.

  1. This season is intriguing. A lot of interesting prints and styles. I was a little upset that big accessories came out of mod. But nothing: I think it will be possible to combine them somehow.
